CMDF – Fiber Dispensers

For many years now, the use of natural, synthetic and metallic fibers in concrete mixtures, therefore called FRC (Fiber Reinforced Concrete), has become common when necessary to improve the resistance to dynamical cracks, decreasing cracks depth and facilitating the stress transfer mechanism. The presence of fibers also gives the concrete a higher post-peak ductility, an increase in fatigue strength and eliminates almost completely shrinkage and thermal variation cracks. The above under condition that choice of fibers type and size be adequate for chosen mix design and also for geometry of castings to be performed. The Fiber Dispensers CMDF series are performed on load cells and dose continuously by weight reduction system through a tested vibration dynamics with fibers advancement on a helicoidal conveyor channel.
They can be supplied either with a simple electrical wiring junction box on board the machine or complete with an electrical panel for local control which can also be interfaced with general plant automation where will operate.
The dosing machine can be installed both indoors and, with appropriate precautions, outdoors. If installed above the mixer cover through special flanged chutes the fibers are discharged in a timed dosing cycle directly into the mixer. In this case support frames with flanged connections are made, complete with access ladder and lateral service walkway to allow manual recharging by means of pre-bagged commercial units. If, on the other hand, it is installed on the ground, fibers are normally discharged onto the aggregate loading belt or, in plants with skip, into the lifting bucket.
